What is the HPV Vaccine?
The HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine helps prevent infection from HPV, the main cause of cervical cancer, as well as genital warts, and cancers of the genital area, mouth, and throat.
Protection Against 9 Key Strains
- High-risk cancer-causing strains: 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58
- Strains causing genital warts: 6, 11
Recommended for:
️- Women and men aged 15-45
️- Individuals aiming to reduce risk of cervical or genital cancer, or genital warts
️- Those who have not been exposed to HPV (ideally before first sexual activity)
Vaccination Schedule:
- Dose 1: Day 0
- Dose 2: 12 months after Dose 1
- Dose 3: 6 months after Dose 1
Note:
- Complete all 3 doses for maximum protection.

Preparation Before Vaccination
- Avoid facial injectables (e.g., fillers, Botox) for 2 weeks prior
- Do not receive other vaccines 1 week before or after, and avoid vitamin drips 1 week before or after
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before vaccination
- If you have a high fever, it is recommended to postpone vaccination, as the vaccine may stimulate the immune system and cause temporary fever
