Who Should Consider Acute Allergy Testing?
If you experience any of the following symptoms shortly after exposure to an allergen or consumption of certain foods, seek medical attention promptly. Testing may help identify potential triggers.

  • Redness, pale skin, hives, or itchy skin
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Noticeable swelling of the tongue, lips, or throat
  • Difficulty swallowing or a sensation of throat obstruction
  • Difficulty breathing, chest tightness, or palpitations
  • Coughing, sneezing, or a runny nose
  • Weak pulse or rapid heartbeat

Important: Severe symptoms such as breathing difficulties, throat swelling, or a weak pulse may indicate anaphylaxis, a medical emergency requiring immediate treatment.
